With his second mixtape Rick Ross knocks the competition out with a 20 track opus that comes off more like a full album than a mixtape.

Released a lil' over a week ago, (it wasn't all good a week ago) it has already made trunks and iPods rattle all over the globe. Ross' album God Forgives I Don't, was supposed to be released on December 13th but due to Ross' ill health it was pushed back.

So to wet the appetite of fans he released the Rich Forever mixtape. He has also been previously praised for having the knack of choosing the perfect beats for his songs. Which is evident in this brilliant offering.

Filled to the brim with trap beats you won't easily touch the skip button on this offering. Rich Forever features high powered guest appearances from Nas, Drake, Pharrell, Kelly Rowland and P.Diddy. Production wise he enlisted a few newcomers and his trusty soundscape creators Lex Luger, Beat Billionaire and the Justice League.

The haunting STAY SCHEMIN' features a phenomenal verse from Drake, and shows that he can hang with the best out there and this verse should shut up his naysayers. Mind you all guest artists on here stepped up there game on here.

RING RING featuring Atlanta newcomer Future is a catchy tune that will make you head bob once aforementioned guest flips the hook. It's a track that has a little bit of a dancehall "ting" to it and I'm sure it will get a lot of play in the club.

One of the highlights on this tape is the Styles P assisted KEYS TO THE CRIB produced by The Inkredibles. There use of a choir type backgrounds and a oh so perfect snare makes for an, " in there like swimwear" beat. Almost eargasmic.

The usual braggadocious lyrics is the norm here but Ross comes up with new ways to reinvent the wheel. It has been done before but his attention to detail and charismatic booming voice makes for very pleasant listen.

Its gonna take a lot from Mr. Ross to top this with his upcoming album. That we just gonna have to wait and see.
